Hopefully this is a step in the right direction for understanding of homosexuals.  The NBA and other sports leagues are a direct medium to the segment of the population that accepts homosexuality the least.  If it can become more visually accepted in the NBA and elsewhere, perhaps that will lead to better communication with those that watch and participate in sports.
