It appears that Redskins fans are stuck with John Beck as the starter. It remains to be seen what will happen with trades and everything else but Shanahan is very particular with his quarterbacks and if he doesn't like any of the QBs available in trades he'll probably just stick with Beck. It certainly sounds as if he's already trying to defend the decision to head into next year him at the helm. Beck himself seems convinced that he's the man, it would almost be sad to see them take it away from him. He didn't play well in Miami but that team was awful and he wasn't a train wreck either. I agree with Shanahan that he was at or near the top of that 2007 crop of QBs, though as we all know that was a hideous year for signal callers so that's not saying much. He probably doesn't have the size or arm strength needed to be a great quarterback in Shanahan's system but I'm sure he'll play at least as well as McNabb did last year. There's nowhere to go but up
