Over the past couple of months since starting my Newsvine account, I've had close to 20,000 pageviews. From varying sources, I've been told that could bring anywhere from $20 to $200 in earnings. I guess it depends on how well the advertising did in a particular month. I didn't create my Newsvine account with the intention of making profit and I have enough money of my own that I don't really need the money to pay bills and so forth. So that brings me to the question of what to do with the earnings that I do receive. I may end up just putting it (or a part of it anyways) in my son's education fund, particularly if it ends up being on the very high end of the spectrum, but I'm also interested in potentially donating to one of the charities.
And that brings me to the question from the headline. Does anyone have any suggestions as to which charity I should donate to? Does anyone have any personal experience with any of these charities? What charities have you donated to in the past? And what should I know that I wouldn't find from a simple navigation of the charity's website? Obviously, some of these charities, such as the American Red Cross and the Boys & Girls Club of America, I've heard of and even donated to but some of them I have no previous experience with.
